Should the NCAA clarify that members are allowed to sell data through to sportsbooks, that could open the door to massive deals for conferences like the Big Ten and SEC, whose football and basketball games are often more popular (and attract more bettors) than established U.S. Some are returned fairly quickly, others can take months. Most are filed through an online database, at which point the NCAA decides which staffers or committee can best review the request. Representatives for the NCAA and the MAC declined to comment.
